  • What is First Night Tri-Cities?
    First Night Tri-Cities is an interactive family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration of the New Year. The event features live and interactive performances and activities for children and adults to enjoy on New Year's Eve each year.
  • How much does First Night cost?
    We strive to keep the event affordable for everyone. Admission is just $9 per person for ages 4-12, $7 for ages 13 and up and children age 2 and under are free for the entire night. Admission includes unlimited rides on the Gesa Carousel of Dreams.
  • Is there an admission charge to watch the fireworks?
    No. Outdoor activities, such as the ice sculpture carving and fireworks display do not require admission thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.
  • Is the fireworks show canceled in inclement weather?
    The licensed pyrotechnicians have the final say on whether it is safe to launch the fireworks. Cold weather, snow, rain or fog will not prevent the show from taking place. Other weather concerns such as wind may delay or cancel the show. The decision is made based on conditions right before show time.
  • I have older children who would like to attend. Is there anything for them to do?
    Yes! Our goal is to provide entertainment for all ages. While some activities may be better suited for our younger guests, we have many activities for all ages, such as our interactive inflatable games, live performances, carousel rides, face painting and more. It's easily a night the entire family will enjoy, regardless of age.
  • Is food and beverage available?
    Yes. The Gesa Carousel of Dreams concession counter is open throughout the event. There is also food available inside the sports pavilion as well.
